Well we are creeping up there. I have decided a dinner at the Mongolian Barbecue will be in order sometime around my birthday, which will be a double celebration and an early send off bash.
Anyway the most incredibly generous benefactor came forward with such a huge donation towards my costs that I am still reeling from both the excitement and the generosity! Thanks so much Charles Tyrwhitt! Support them please by clicking the link above!
It also means I will almost certainly be able to go via Istanbul and across the Caspian Sea which is the route I am keenest to take, but was worried about the cost of it.
Anyway once again many thanks to my benefactor and all those who have donated money towards the charities. We are getting there slowly…. I have changed my website so the first page says how many more days to go… 37 left and £250 of sponsorship making it’s way….
If I can keep up at this rate of an average of £50 per day up to the start I will have reached half my target. I hope the remainder will come from a few fundraising events along the way!
